As the provincial party newspaper of Guangdong, the circulation of Nanfang Daily have already kept number one for 23 years among all the provincial party newspapers. In my opinion, this is related to its reform in a large degree. This dissertation mainly focuses on the reform of Nanfang Daily in the new century, aiming at summering the experiences and drawing the inspiration to other provincial party newspapers.Since entering the new century, all the party newspapers face many pressures, such as social transformation, competition, economic pressure and so on. In such circumstances, Nanfang Daily starts to correct its defects. In the process of the reform, the spirit of 'vision makes power' influenced almost every aspect. It also improved the news quality, management system and all the things related to the newspaper. Although the reform of Nanfang Daily has achieved impressive success, there are still some disadvantages. For example, the news quality is not always good, the systems of management is not perfect, which need continuous correction.In summary, the reform of Nanfang Daily is a successful practice to become stronger for provincial party newspapers, and it provides many instructive experiences to party newspapers.
