Dongfeng Canal is the biggest irrigated area of Dujiangyan, which is important part of Dujiangyan water projects. The water mainly comes from Minjiang River and is imported according to water distribution plan. Besides providing water to industry, living, irrigation and environment protection, Dongfeng Canal can prevent flood, generate electricity, etc. It plays an important role in development of Chengdu.As the inlet of irrigated area, canal head station is very important to import water and distribute water. This paper designs Management Information System of Water Resources in Dongfeng Canal Head according to function demands and user demands. The system realizes data collection, data disposal, water situation inspection, gate control and irrigated area dispatching.This paper mainly studied in following aspects:1. Combined with the characteristics of Management Information System, hierarchy of system is deeply studied. Intelligence system model is adopted to set up control structure of multi-layer. The functions of layers are also introduced.2. Study of hardware and software. According to actual demands of canal head, hardware and software of inspection of water situation, control of gates group, video watch are designed.3. The setup and realization of gates group control and inspection sub-systems are deeply studied and designed.4. Pointed to the dispatching of Zhangjiaqiao electricity station, fussy control theory is applied to control strategy of water resources. Control rules and dispatching controller are designed and experimented in canal head.Management Information System of Water Resources in Dongfeng Canal Head has been successfully implied to canal head. It is very convenient for dispatching and management of Canal Head, enhances the level of water automation and management of Dongfeng Canal and builds a basic platform for "digital water dispatching" of Dongfeng irrigated area.
