At present, the majority of greenhouses in our country still install traditional water meters, so people havo to enter into the greenhouses to read meter. This approach requires more staffs involved, not only time-consuming, laborious and inefficient, but also prone to late payment, delayed payment, evasion or other issues. In addition, it is an assumption that a famer may have several greenhouses, and each greenhouse installs a water meter with a card. By this means to manage sold water, the users may have many water cards, thus people with using water cards may be more complicated and easy to get wrong or missing. Therefore, with a review of relevant products and combined with practical engineering project, we bring forward a set of sale system solutions for water management.By collecting and sorting large amount of technical data home and abroad and investigating the actual application situation of the system, this paper suggests to integrate the radio frequency, wireless communication and relational database technologies, and applies to design scheme of water metering and dispatching management system of facility agriculture. Based on the relational database Microsoft SQL Server 2000, the system uses the C/S(Client/Server) design pattern, and Visual Basic 6.0 to design a set of agricultural water management software system.Users can buy the water with the IC card and query the remainder. The software system uses ActiveX Data Object to realize the connection to the database. Friendly user interface, fresh menu window and strong control function are also provided to user. At the same time, through repeaters for wireless communication, the system realizes the function of wireless meter reading and wireless recharge, it can improve staff meter reading efficiency and save a lot of human resources and daily expenses. After analysis of water data collected, managers can control water meters and arrange irrigation reasonably by policy scheduling to realize remote water dispatching, thus ensuring crop fully irrigation. Besides, under the support of the prepaid management software and intelligent water meters, the system using only a 8K-bit non-contact IC card realizes a card to manage multiple meters, not only cost savings but also ease of management. Therefore, it is no need for the users with several water meters to remember the card corresponding to each water meter, just a card necessary.The water metering and dispatching management system of facility agriculture, mentioned by the thesis, has been taken the first steps in Shatuo Village of Changping District, Jiashan Village, Niezhuang Village and Xiaozhubao Village of Shunyi District, Yang Zhuanghu Village of Pinggu District, Taoli Village of Miyun District, etc. Practice indicates, the stability and the usage of the whole system are both well.
