At present, the computer technology is indispensable for every enterprise in the world, and it is the guarantee of keeping the increase of their productivity and competitive power. The rapid development of the personal computer technology has leaded to the more extensive use of computer than before. With the modernized information and communication technology, enterprises can construct a new and global framework for design and manufacture, which can establish a flexible production system using kinds of production factors distributed in different areas and needed for achieving various tasks. Product exploitation and design is the kernel of the system and directly influences the benefit and development of the enterprises. Currently, there still exists much more potential tolerance for the production super-branches (products planning, products exploitation and design, products assessment etc.) although the automation level of production has reached a higher degree. In recent years, lots of modernized IT application systems have been used in the production super-branches widely and have resulted in great improvement of the efficiency. However, over the whole circumstances, there still lack integrated systems in many enterprises which control data transmission though different tasks. In order to manage the data produced in the exploitation and design process of the project, shorten the consequent period, improve their efficiency, and provided the foundation for organic integration of information systems, we introduce a data management system for the project. During the exploitation, we use the Object-Oriented Method and the UML (Unified Modeling language) to analyze, design and realize the system. The Object-Oriented Method is a software development method which adopts some typical concepts such as object, class, inherit, converge, encapsulation, messaging, polymorphism to construct systematic software exploitation approach. It makes the framework from design to solving problem more abstract. Meanwhile, by means of this method one can communicate with customer and encapsulate the data and operation into objects easily. Firstly, we should use the Object-Oriented analysis Method to analyze the demand of the system. Then, through the question description, object identification, structure definition, theme identification and link between the identification properties and examples, constraints on software design and the details of interface with other programs can be decided. UML merges the basic conceptions of OMT and OOSE method, and these basic concepts are similar to the other Object-Orient technology in most cases. Therefore, UML must be a prior chose as modeling language for the users using these methods and other methods because of its constituency. UML not only integrate the above-mentioned methods, but also is revised for several visions by adopting the advices from others on the basis of these methods. UML has expanded the application range of the existing methods; it isn't a standard exploitation procedure but a standard modeling language. In this paper, according to the demand analysis and UML modeling, we divide this system into four function modules: everyday management, data management, equipment management and project management. Furthermore, structure model with three layers is adopted in actual design. According to the theory of three layers structure, the data management system of this project can be divided into three layers: application layer, commerce layer and data service layer. The application layer provides the data for users, and allows the user to edit the data. The commerce layer is used to force the rules for commerce and data, the application layer applies the services provided by the commerce layer. The commerce layer is not connected to any specific customers, it is suitable for all application programs, and it can be revised conveniently when the rules change. We store all lists and process objects into data server and lets the commerce server request serve from the data server. So the three layer structure has the characteristics of strong retraction, optimal system resources, good maintainability, safety and so on.
