In the face of sweeping across the global information-based tide and facing thecompetitive market nowadays, enterprises feel that pyramidal institutional frameworkof structure and complicated numerous business procedure have already unable todeal with the challenge more and more. ERP, which was developed in the 1990s, hasalready turned the enterprise information system including people, wealth and thingsrelatively independent into one intact complicated system through informationchanges. To keep up with international enterprise management level, shorten thedevelopment period of the new products, reduce the production cost of the products,raise working efficiency, improve the economic benefits of the enterprise, the secondpharmacy factory of Da Rentang decided to set up the management informationsystem of modern enterprise(ERP system)using the information technology ofcomputer, introducing the advanced management idea of ERP and combining theenterprise's own characteristics.This dissertation introduces ERP system for the factory using the target-orienteddevelopment approach. This system can fit with the historical data very well and canbe used in procedure successfully. The paper regards purchasing the system as theexample and explains the whole developing course, and has explained relevanttechnology briefly.This paper introduces the meaning of the project at first. Then it introduces themain technology needed briefly. Next, according to the development approach of thetarget -oriented project, it describes the development course, from initial demandstage, the system analysis, the system design, including how to turn face-target intothe relational database, and the system is realized. Finally it draws a conclusion andprospect of the development of ERP system.
