This dissertation carries on a research to the integrated circuitdesign of the embedded microprocessor RSM8212. It finishes theanalysis of the chip's system structure and the realization of thecircuit, and also gives a explanation to the whole IC designprocedure of the microprocessor.Adopting the most advanced high-level design method of theASIC design in the study of the project, we firstly give a detailanalysis to the system's architecture and register organization,including instruction sets. Then we use the hardware descriptionlanguage VerilogHDL to process the system's describing andschematic simulation. At last, we expound the CAD andverification of the chip's layout design and accomplish the system.Finally, we finish the design of the microprocessor RSM8212and put it into the 0.50um Si-Gate CMOS product line of WuxiCSMC-Hj Semiconductor Co.Ltd. through all the research work ofthis thesis. At present, this product has already succeeded inapplying to a lot of small-scale intellectual toys which have thefunction of core controls.
