The grain is the foundation of the national economy and the special strategic materials which concerns the national safety and the people's livelihood. Thus, the reserve of grain has great meanings for promoting economic steady development. This text studies grain condition monitoring system from two respects of hardware and software, which takes temperature, humidity and moisture as whole. This system plays very important function in storing the grain safely.This system is mainly made up of upper machine (PC), communication machine, detecting and controlling machine, the sensor of temperature, humidity and moisture.The three sensors complete the collection of temperature, humidity and moisture in the field. Detecting and controlling machine is designed based on AT89C51 SCM which is the key component. This machine measures the temperature, humidity of grain and temperature, moisture of the granary on real-time with full use of the SCM's capabilities on data processing and real-time measuring. Communication machine receives the order that PC sends. At the same time it transfers the order to controlling machine to finish the information exchange between the PC and the controlling machine. Upper machine achieves the serial communication, data storage and displaying function, changes the signal received into three-dimensional temperature charts or curve graphs which can show the state of the grain clearly. In addition, this text is emphasized the soft -measuring technology on data analysis, applies soft-measuring to realize the gage of grain condition.The main contents are as follows:(1) Analyze and compare the current grain condition of the monitoring system in domestic and international, and offer the scientific basis for the design of this system.(2) Design the overall scheme of grain situation monitoring system and ensure the task which the system should complete.(3) In order to improve the precision and velocity of gathering data, design the monitoring system of grain situation based on digital temperature sensor. It changes data gathering from analog to digital.(4) Recommend soft-measuring technology and research soft-measuring technologybased on fuzzy reasoning to achieve the estimate the state of grain. (5)Use the assembler language and VC language to design the software for thetemperature monitoring system of grain depot(6)In order to improve systematic dependability and safety, study the problem which is in need of solution in the grain condition monitoring system such as anti-thunder, electromagnetic disturb etc.
