With the progress of human civilization and the improvement of people's living standards, the security of public health is being paid more and more attention. The internal and external environment of the current security surveillance and control work of public health has enormously changed. In view of those events which posed a threat to public health security such as food health, contagion, etc, the present security surveillance and control system of public health can not satisfy the urgent demands for coping with the outbreak of those vital and abrupt events.Aiming to solve these problems existed in the field of security surveillance and control of public health, such as the deficiency of resource accessibility, the feebleness of public service, the lack of decision support model, etc, we will apply decision support system and Web GIS technology to the field of security surveillance and control of public health. Based on the platform of Web GIS, this dissertation discussesthe system structure of decision support system based on Web GIS, the structure design of spatial database, the organization form of domain data warehouse, the extraction method of decision model base and the design of decision support system based on Web GIS.The emphases of our research includes:1. Decision support system and GIS technology have been applied to the field of security surveillance and control of public health. By analyzing in detail the business process flow of the system, the structure of system and function has been presented.2. According to the whole framework of the system, the integrated database has been divided into business database, spatial database and data warehouse, and then the composition of each database has been presented in detail.3. By analyzing the themes relevant to the field of security surveillance and control of public health, the method how the data warehouse can be extracted from business database and spatial database has been studied.4. The spatial analysis models have been integrated with the models relevant to the security of public health. All models have been classified and then the model base has been designed according to the presentation's style of these models.5. According to the business flow of security surveillance and control of publichealth, the system structure and the process flow of decision support have also been fully expounded.The innovation of this dissertation is that, based on the platform of Web GIS, decision support system is applied to the field of the security surveillance and control of public health.
