With the arrival of PC era, the Internet has already become the important basic information facilities of the society. It is the main channel of the information communication, the biggest and the most popular network on the earth. The application of the Internet is permeated through every aspect of people's life. Besides the computers, a large number of all kinds of intellectual electronic equipments try to connect to the Internet at present. Embedded Internet technology is put forward for these embedded equipments to connect the Internet and its main purpose is to solve the problem of the embedded equipment connecting to the Internet. As long as the embedded system has connected the Internet, people can control the all embedded equipments through the network in any place.According to practical project demand, this paper put forward a method which enable 8 bit embedded system connect to Internet combining the embedded technology, Internet technology and field bus technology. With this method, An embedded Video/Audio network monitoring system used in broadcasting and TV system is designed. The paper describes how to design the system in detail, which includes Ethernet control card design, embedded TCP/IP protocol stack design and the whole software realization of Ethernet control card. The Ethernet control card's hardware design and the embedded TCP/IP protocol's realization are the core part of this system; the paper takes these tow parts as focus. Finally the paper describes the debugging and testing result of the whole system. The system has passed product appraisal by certain high tech company in Dalian high tech zone. Now it has been widely produced and has been used in Xiamen TV station and Hebei TV station and so on. All these have proved that the method of how torealization embedded Internet is feasible and has good application future.
