Embedded Audio Controller Design

This paper introduces the design of the Embedded Audio controller for the project "music system for broadcasting and background" of a plant park.The hardware platform scheme and PCB for the Embedded Audio Controller are designed by the software Protel99. By using ADS 1.2 integrated designing environment and JTAG debugging, edit-testing program after assembling the hardware platform. Each designed part function of the hardware is tested by hardware debugging tools such as digital oscillograph and so on.Eventually, after modification of the design of the Embedded Audio Controller, the designer chose LPC2214 ARM Micro-Controller as the kernel, expanded STA013 hardware MP3 Decoder, RTL8019AS Ethernet Controller, K9F2G08U0M large-capacity Flash storage and so on. The Embedded Audio Controller with excellent function has been given to the client and got high evaluation. It includes audio control functions such as public broadcasting, background music broadcasting, natural sound simulation, live sound detecting function and certain malfunction detecting function.This paper explains the hardware design of the Embedded Audio Controller and initializing code of the LPC2214 ARM microcontroller in detail. Besides, I wish to share the experience in debugging.The design of the Embedded Audio Controller accumulated rich experience for the Embedded System design in future.
