Research Of Remote Terminal Unit Based On Embedded Ethernet

In this paper, the background and definition and development at home and abroad of embedded Ethernet technology are introduced briefly, and applications of intelligent home network on the basis of information consume electronics and intelligent industrial control network are discussed. This paper analyzes and compares intelligent industrial control network applying embedded Ethernet technology with field bus control network, and consequently, explains the importance of researching embedded Ethernet technology.According to the actuality at present, there are three solving methods of realizing embedded Ethernet technology being summarized, embedded operating system running on 32 bit CPU, using special chip processing network protocol, micro-controller embedding TCP/IP protocols stack, and analyzes their characters and degrees of difficulty or simplicity and so on, and finally chooses the third method as the design of the system.On the basis of it, this paper puts forward the overall design idea, and designs hardware system and software system in detail. Theory of hardware system is gave, and concrete configuration and character of C8051F020 and principle of sending and receiving data of RTL8019AS are discussed importantly. In allusion to actual system application, data sampling channel of remote terminal is designed.As the difficulty of design, the core of system, TCP/IP protocols of Ethernet are explained, and every layer of TCP/IP protocols stack and protocols being used such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, HTTP are analyzed deeply and in detail. Then combining with the actual application of embedded system, this paper simplifies and improves all protocols different degrees, and proposes some design suggestions and flow charts of protocol and software design ideas.On the basis of overall design, this paper explains actual application of the system in the remote detecting and controlling system of the network of supplying water, and then proves the feasibility of micro-controller embedding TCP/IP protocols stack. The actual testing result is given.In conclusion, some problems about the aspects of real time and security in some application areas are indicated faithfully. So it is necessary to do further researches for the technology in future in order to enlarge its application areas.
