Application And Research Of Mobile Agent In Network Intelligence Teaching System

The development of information technology and the extensive application of Internet provide the traditional remote teaching with new ideas and methods. By emphasizing multimedia and network technologies, and using networks as the means of transmitting information, network teaching offers a new means of education and changes the conventional instilling way of teaching which centers on the teachers. And by emphasizing students'active learning, it also breaks the limitation of single-directed knowledge spreading in the traditional teaching style. It will inevitably become the trend of the development of the future education. However, at the current stage, many network teaching systems that are on the basis of Web lack flexibility. Those systems usually cannot give students a guide in their study according to their own situations, and many of the systems are only the piling of various teaching materials; they are actually classroom teaching delivered in an electronic way. Besides, those systems are always short in interchange ability and haven't effectively solved such problems as uneven geographic distribution of educational resources, different structures of different kinds of networks and studying groups, and different teaching should be aimed at different studying groups, which urgently should be settled in the present remote teaching. Therefore, the problem of how to use related technologies to solve the series of problems exist in network teaching becomes urgent that we should settle. In the recent years, the burgeoning Mobile Agent technology in the artificial intelligence field provides a good opportunity to realize this objective. Flexibility, initiative moving execution and other characters are combined together into the mobile Agent, which provide a dependable technical support for network teaching. As a result, the improved network teaching system not only transplants teaching systems of varied fields and varied subjects into the network environment, but also makes network teaching become flexible, which would provide the students and individualized room for learning and improve the teaching quality greatly. Meanwhile, it would also change remote interchange into local interchange, lessening networks jams and accelerating responding speed. This article proposes the idea of integrating the mobile Agent technology with network teaching and builds a modal of intelligent network teaching system on the basis of the mobile Agent guided by the theory of constructing and designing. The essay analyzes in detail the function, structure and design of every static Agent in the modal, including the students Agent, individual-analyzing Agent, guiding Agent, teachers Agent, and gives a detailed discussion of the mobile Agent needed to be executed in moving in the aspects of the moving behavior, life circle moving routes, negotiation,etc. In addition, this article also analyzes the system's individualized strategy in light of the student modal, the organization of knowledge points, the individualized question choosing and so on. Finally, preliminary attempts to specific realization of the Mobile Agent system are made. To apply the mobile Agent to intelligent network teaching system is a beneficial trial. On one hand, some problems existing in the network teaching available are solved tentatively. On the other hand, the applied research in network teaching also provides reference to the application of it in other areas.
