Application And Research Of Distance Teaching Information System Based On Mobile Agent

Along with the development of modern information technology network education is produced as a new education form.By emphasizing multimedia and network technologies, and using networks as the means of transmitting information, network teaching offers a new means of education and changes the conventional instilling way of teaching which centers on the teachers. And by emphasizing students' active teaching, it also breaks the limitation of single-directed knowledge spreading in the traditional teaching style. It will inevitably become the trend of the development of the future education.However, at the current stage, most network teaching systems lack intelligence, self-adaptation, autonomy and intercommunication and alternation between each link, usually cannot give students a guide in their study according to their own situations. At the same time, Those systems are always short in interchange ability and haven't effectively solved such problems as uneven geographic distribution of educational resources, different structures of different kinds of networks and studying groups, and different teaching should be aimed at different studying groups, which urgently should be settled in the present distance teaching.This paper is called forth by the need of organization and sharing of the education information in distance teaching systems, drived by the combination of software agent technology , multi agents system and mobile agent technology, and aims to explore a novel way to deal with the management and sharing of distributed information. In information retrieval, the system based on mobile agents aims to satisfy the users' desire for information;gather related information;discover information resources;dig users' further information requirements. Information management and sharing in this system are achieved by coolaboration of various agents in this system. Also, this paper discusses the design and implementation of a distance teachinginformation system based on mobile agent technology. In this system, advantages of mobile agent technology are explored and exploited in both of the following two aspects: distributed information organization and distributed information retrieval.
