As one of the most important ways to realize media industrialization, the multi-industry of media has been the focus that educational circles and industry studied and disputed all the time. What kind of multi-industry is the favorable form for the smooth development of media industrialization? The exploration and practice for many years show: As to long-term development of media in the future, some multi-industry existing simply may have received certain results in a short time. However, if to say on the whole, it would seem to be lack of thoughts, strategically planning and unclear goal. So, the multi-industry of media should operate on the basis of fully excavating and combining one's own resources. Namely it should start with the owned most information resources. As everybody knows, no matter broadcast and television or paper media, should deal with a large amount of information every day. However, for various reasons, a lot of information cannot be made the best use of. The phenomena of excavating not deeply to information value and information with uncompleted value-added services generally exist, which have caused the waste of the information resources to a certain extent. So, the subject direction of the multi-industry of media should fully excavate and utilize value that information resources have already been here. It means to develop the information industry in a more cost-effective manner. As one rising industry in the modern information industry, the consulting business has very large development space. Themedia develops the consulting business will be a very essential choice for the multi-industry of media.This thesis proceeds from macroscopic perspective of the multi-industry of media, with the system theory as guidance, integrates the theory and method of many disciplines, such as communication, economics, sociology and mathematical statistics, etc., on such foundations that analyses of the respect as the consulting business's current situation, question, excellent inferior position and development course, and the current situation, condition, question of media to development consulting business. At the same time, the thesis combines to the concretely analysis and comparing of a lot of successful of case existing, concludes the possible mode that media developments consulting business in information age from macroscopic aspect. To the discussion that media deal in multi-industry, it is the first time to research and analysis separately, completely and deeply that regards consulting business as one possible vigorous trade that media can carry on alone, and combines with the cases' situation and the characteristic about information age together, which make the article have stronger rationality and reality.In order to make the media consulting business's development model structured out have effectiveness, in the analyses of real example, this thesis has selected four typical companies from the media that are developing consulting business as the subjects researched, such as CVSC-SOFRES MEDIA, CCW Research, Xinhua Online, and Zero Investigation Company with which many of newspaper, such as China Youth Daily, Beijing Youth Daily etc. often cooperate, and made a concrete analysis of its capital structure, business content, condition of operation, talent's state and relevant operation, etc. On this basis, the thesis also puts forward corresponding understanding and view.This study on development consulting business of the media is an effective try that media's multi-industry once developed to the direction of information industry, offers the concrete scientific basis for the media operator, which to develop, use, redevelop, reuse of information, and utilize, grasp, guide, manage and supervise ofthe media industrialization process. It has very important meaning and function for the media proceeds from existing key value resource; launch the inter-trade management mode, finally making the inter-trade industry roller chain.
