As the fast development of communication and networking technology and science of semiconductor, the Internet is becoming popular in the area of industry control and embedded system. Widely usage of TCP/IP networking overcomes the problem of information exclusion and realizes information exchange between control network and information network. Moreover, it provides a better platform and enhances the manufacture and management of the enterprise. It has become a hot spot and popular trend in area of monitoring and control of industry.The usage and process of the widely supported communication interface, the OPC standard interface, was introduced at the beginning, including the custom interface, the automation interface and the information of OPC group and items. The following was the specification of the most popular network protocol currently, the TCP/IP protocol. In the end of this section, a total solution of a monitor system achieved by using OPC interface and TCP/IP protocol was exposited in detail and test result as well.Finally, the structure and detail method of embedded networking, used in control system, was discussed, including the embedded controller, RTL8019 network controller, and the method of using embedded TCP/IP stack to achieve network monitoring was introduced as well.It is showed in the article that using OPC interface and TCP/IP protocol extends the DCS system effectively, and realizes the monitoring and communication. For using embedded networking controller, monitoring remotely and communication on spot were achieved, and it is a new way to expand the remote monitor and control system.
