We were pushed into the age of exploding infomation. These infomations need to process and use every time. The value of infomation is that user can benefit from it. Computer hardware and software grow so rapidly that can get data process easier. In the future, the key of infomation technoloy is how to make the most of value of these massed data in stead of data process. Data warehouse technology emerged as the times require. Data warehouse is not a new flat (it still build on database system), but a new concept, and it is also not a substitute of traditional database, but a tool based on database to reorganize data for support decision analyse. This paper presents a concrete project which is the author particitpate in as an intern. Based on the reserch of data warehouse technology,we implement a full process of modeling data warehouse applied in enterprise,make a elementary and effective approach of data warehouse modeling in the field of domestic steel corporation and provide valuable experience for domestic steel corportaion or other field. Multidimensional views were constructed during the course of data warehouse modeling. Layered modeling approach has been introduced (subject-account-report) for the sake of continuous work and massed data in Steel Corporation. This technique take more pre-workload so can provide quicker reponse to user and work well. The implemtation of active report system meet the user's requirement of layer and flexibility to view the statistics. It provides convenient, quick, efficient and high quality decision infomation for the people those at high management position and save considerable money for corporation. The establishment of Stat. Management System based on data warehouse also provides data and technique elements for the construction of enterprise intelligent flat.
