In optics and optoelectronics domain, the research of how to get more range of optical maser wavelength is one of the most popular topics, now. And QPM (Quasi-phase-matching) technology is proved much more effective than any other technology. The key point of QPM is making non-linear crystal LiNbO3 get ferroelectric domain. Electrical polarizing method is the most easy and effective way, which can get ferroelectric domain on non-linear crystal, in all methods of QPM technology.In order to polarize non-linear crystal, a kind of high voltage power supply, which can output low repeat frequency pulse, was designed. And the waveform of the output pulse looks like rectangular. The pivotal component of the power supply is Frisbee Mechanism Spark Gap Switch, which is never seen in other power supply before. By controlling the switch, the performance of the power supply can be adjusted. The basic technical target of the power supply is as follows: frequency 0.5Hz to 100Hz, output voltage 2kV to 10kV, output pulse current 300 uA, pulse width 0.2% to 50% T and rate of voltage reduction less than 2%. The linear character and stabilization of the output voltage can meet the requirement of electrical polarizing method.Many experiments have been performed on LiNbO3 crystal using this power supply. The experimental results showed good agreement with the expected result. Compared with the other experiments, the non-linear crystal LiNbO3 get ferroelectric domain clearly. And this power supply reaches the advanced level in the non-linear crystal electrical polarizing method. Under appropriate experimental condition, or adjusting the power supply simply, this power supply can meet the requirements of variety of electrical polarizing methods.
