Laser compared to other lights has the characteristics of higher power, less divergence angle, better monochromaticity, shorter light pulse and continuously tunable spectrum output. Presently, the rapid development of laser technology has brought its well application in many fields, including spaceflight, communications, military affairs, medical science and so on. The emergence of these cross technologies and new subjects has consumedly promoted the development of traditional industries and emerging industries. In order to meet the requirement of laser application development, various kinds of laser devices were designed. How to supply fine high voltage electrical energy to the laser device is a key issue for laser device development..A high-powered pulsed power supply for laser device was designed by combining modern power electronic technology with pulse power technology. It is composed of two parts. One is the high frequency high voltage switching inversion power supply, which transforms 380V alternating current into direct current by three-phase rectification circuit, then adjusts the voltage by Buck circuit and full-bridge inversion, and lastly outputs high frequency high voltage sine wave. The other is the pulse sharpening circuit consisting mainly of capacitances and magnetic switches, which transforms the former wave into the high voltage and high repetition rate rapid pulses.This paper did research in high voltage power supply for driving laser device, especially introduced the working theories and design principles of high voltage inversion power supply and high frequency transformer in detail, and offered a reasonable solution to distributed capacitance issue of high frequency transformer. The paper focused on magnetism theory analyses in electrics, introduced the working theories and application of magnistor and magnetic pulse compressing net, explored the selection rule of magnetic materials and high frequency magnetism cell, meanwhile established model for simulation study.In the research, we adopted triunity study strategy of modeling analysis at first, then computer simulation, experimental research at last. Lots of simulation analysises were performed on primary electric circuit structures, such as high frequency transformer, magnetic core model of magnistor, system circuit, etc. We reduce the cost of study and gain the rapider, higher and better effect of scientific research by this method.
