A real time image capturing and transmission in infrared circuit card tester ispresented. The system designing, detecting and driver developing are discussed. Thereis no products of data acquisition card have been produced in civil corporation whichproduce the Infrared camera such as Guangzhou SAT Infrared Technology Co.,Ltdand It has been satisfied by this design.This paper begins with the theory, value and assignment of data collection. Theadvantages and disadvantages of several kinds of computer buses have beencompared and several kinds of systematic schemes of interface have been proposed.According to the actual conditions of this item, IR image is captured and transmited tocomputer. In this system, data acquisition card is one of the most important. Becauseof the high velocity and real time requirement for the data, an implementation schemebased on PCI bus interface chip and FPGA has been used.In recent years,based on PCI bus high-speed data collecting system is adeveloping direction of data gather and transmission technology. Because of PCI bushas a series of advantages, in fact, PCI bus is becoming the standard in a lot ofapplication fields. At the same time, with the rapid development of EDA, PLD hasbeen used to predigest local circuit logic, which greatly shorten thehardware-developing period. This paper comprises two main parts: hardware systemdesign and device driver design.In the part of hardware design, at the beginning of the whole circuit designing,function modules are discussed one by one, and the emphasis is logic control of localbus. Design of memory exchanging and transmission mode of DMA meets therequirement of high-speed, real time, accurate IR image capturing.In the part of device driver development, various kinds driver development toolshave been compared and the tool WinDriver of KRF Tech Corporation has been used.At last, the driver development process is discussed.By the designing of high-speed data acquisition card's software and hardware, thewhole system basically has been completed, the design is proved to be a success andthe performance meets the expectations.
