The Monitoring System of communication equipment has great significance on communication reliability. The traditional implementation approach of remote system is to construct and maintain cable or wireless communications network or to use low speed public network, which are considered to have high expense and bad real time capability. In this paper, current means of monitoring system are analyzed and compared and a wireless monitoring system based on GPRS technology was developed for communication equipment. The main contents of the research include the design project and implement method of the monitoring system, the means of using the advanced microprocessor of Ti Company digital signal processor in this field, especially for the complex configuration scheme of the memory, In-Application Programming which make the remote upgrading become true, B/S framework which ensure user control equipment at any time and the monitoring protocol stack in communication is designed and implemented. At last, the project was implemented by use of WCDMA repeater monitoring. This is a general-purpose system. It can be easily applied to oilfield monitoring, environment protecting, remote meter recording and traffic controlling, etc.This system is the integration of traditional computer, modern Internet, GPRS and embedded DSP technology. It has many merits, such as multiple functions, low cost, well real time capability and high reliability. It is also convenient to operate, easy to install, maintain and upgrade. Enhancing the security of the B/S framework system is next work of this paper in order to improve it.
