Research And Development Of The EIB Monitor And Control Software

With the rapid development of economy and science, people care more and more about the quality of life. Home automation provides the ability to enhance one' s lifestyle, and makes a home more comfortable, safer and more efficient. So it is being accepted by more and more people.Driven by large market demands, we chose the most popular Home Automation protocol in Europe- EIB (European Installation Bus) as research content. Based on further study of EIB protocol, the EIB monitor and control software has been worked out. The software has been debugged successfully, and taken on trial , at the same time. Copyright of the software has been authourized.This paper is composed of seven chapters:Chapter 1 introduces the classification and the development trend of the computer monitor and control system .Chapter 2 introduces the background knowledge in Home Automation and the current status, several most popular Home Automation protocols and home networking technology.Chapter 3 involvs core content of EIB, through describing the structure system of EIB device, analyses the important technology involved in EIB device.Chapter 4 introduces the UML language and the object concept firstly. Then the static and dynamic state model of EIB object are described. The content of this chapter is important to the graphics design of the monitor and control software.Chapter 5 is the core content of the whole paper. Based on the UML language, describes the realization of the EIB monitor and control software, the function and construction of the software.Chapter 6 builds up a simple EIB system, compares the data acquired from serial communication part and the data acquired from EIB bus. Through the data , the format of the EIB message is analysed.Chapter 7 gives a conclusion about the whole paper. Advices and plans for the R&D of EIB network in the future are discussed.
