Workflow Management System Based On Data Model

Workflow management has been applies on overseas in recent 10 years, and played an important role in the process of enterprise informationlization. Several years ago, the concept of workflow was introduced to China by some experts and enterprises. Thereby the workflow management becomes one of the important research subjects in the enterprise information area, and has significant meaning of simplify the flow management and data exchange in office automatization. This paper is about the workflow application, model creation and circulating mechanism on the basis of relational database.In the enterprise informationlization application software, especially the workflow software, it is always a headache problem about the difficulty of saving and exchanging basic and regular control data in the system. We are going to use viewable model to deal with these data; to create, modify or even move data by the way of mouse-dragging. To make the exchanging and moving convent, we save the data as XML.We have put forward the application model in the workflow management system which based on model in this paper, and have described the workflow of data moving and transferring on Intranet and the advantage of realize workflowmanagement based upon Browser/Server architecture system. It mainly discussed the modelization of important data and data flowing on basic ofdatabase, realized the development and application of core of workflow system.There are seven chapters in this paper. Chapter one is summarized on present condition and result of overseas development, and introduced the advantage of model construction technology in the workflow management system; Chapter two presents the layout of workflow management system project; Chapter three introduced the workflow engine and design method in the workflow management system; Chapter four gives a brief introduction on data technology and principle; Chapter five is the highlight of this thesis. It gives a detailed description of application on the model construction, and present related methods on form model, organization chart and flow model; Through examples of practical workflow inside enterprise functionality, chapter six fully illustrates the workflow and the status during each stage; Chapter seven contains partial source code after program completes. Because of its length, only data in-the-process and some functions of form model are listed.
