The Study And Application Based On Default Workflow Model In The Development Of ERP System

ERP is the perfect combination of computer technique and enterprises management. Lots of advanced concepts such as ERP have been used by more and more corporations to improve their efficiency as a whole and their competitive ability in the market. However, in the traditional ERP system, the way of transaction processing can't manage or control the business process efficiently. In addition, as the competition of corporations is getting complicated day by day, the fixed business process of the traditional ERP is not adaptable to the changing environment of dynamic business process of the corporations. Therefore, the improved ERP system should be a system with restructurable function, changeable process as well as high-grade flexibility. Whereupon, introduce the fast-developing workflow technique which faces disposal of business process into ERP system, that could help to improve intractable problems which appear in the management of business process in ERP.Supported by information technology, workflow technique implements auto-execution of corporations' business processes, which is the key technique to realize the management and control of business process. With the aim of automatization or semi-automatization of distributed and cooperating business process supported by computer, the workflow management system is a computer cooperating system which is based on the workflow model to implement the workflows' operation. Consulted many interrelated literature from home and aboard, from the view of workflow technique, this thesis emphasizes to study workflow model which is the corn concept of workflow technique, and its application in ERP system. With the workflow reference model at present and aim at the exception handling which is important in process modeling, this thesis raise a default workflow model, a new workflow model. Though its formal description and study of exception handling mechanism, I hope to resolve the problems of exception handling when an ERP system which is integrated workflow technique is executing.The discussion of this thesis is as follow:First, to describe the status in quo of the application of workflow technique and workflow model in ERP system and the study background; to introduce ERP system and referenced concepts of workflow system; to discuss the architecture of ERP system based on workflow technique.Second, to theoretically study the present workflow models' description andmodeling, stressing to analyze the way of modeling of the workflow model; referring to exception handling during the execution of workflow business processes as well as the efficient exception handling mechanism at present, to raise a default workflow model which bases upon exception handling mechanism and supports the dynamic workflow change.At last, to discuss in details the basic principle of default workflow model and dissertate the way and mechanism of exception handling of workflow; to present the realization in the emulational system; to validate the efficiency of the default workflow model by experiments. The results show that the applications of workflow model and workflow technique in the ERP system could enhance the system's abilities of managing the business process and exception handling.The main contribution of this thesis:1. To describe the architecture of ERP combined with workflow technique in details, which could be consulted by academia;2. To raise a default workflow model which is based on workflow reference model, and is used to realize the exception handling mechanism in the execution of the workflow;3. To raise a JECA rule extended from EC A rule to describe the model of exception handling; to adopt exception handling mechanism based on CBR and use reasoning way of repository to handle deviation situations especially the unpredictable ones; to take simulative experiments on the new model and validate its efficiency and rationality on an emulational system.
