Research On JAVA-based Extensible Workflow Management System On Web

With the rapid development of web technique, workflow becomes a kind of application technology from a concept. At the same time, many products correlative with the workflow spring up like mushrooms. However, all along the workflow could not realize the healthy marketability, due to the lack of the common criterion and the complication of the products. This paper is in the background of legal system, and presents a java-based extensible Workflow Management System, which is on the basis of web type and boosts up the systemic universality and extensibility, which can adapt changeful system's requirements.The paper expounds the workflow reference model raised by WfMC(Workflow Management Coalition) and the five interfaces in the model . Besides, the functional specialty of workflow management system is analyzed. The paper also introduces the development of WFMS and its current marketplace. In this condition, the paper presents a kind of WFMS, which can be customized and has high universality.In the background of the requirement's variability and the process's complexity of the legal system based on B/S, an idea of dynamic-assembled flow building is put up. It is such an antilogy that is not like the conventional method of whole modeling, but break up the whole into parts, in some sense. It suggests that the whole object should be devided into several sub-flows, and then the real-life whole flow will be built and controlled by attempering the sub-flows through the regulations have been set in advance. It is a new effective thought to reduce the complexity owing to the object's dynamic variety. Besides, some original notions are brought forward with regard to the realization of the process's control used by rules and authorization control model.At first, the paper summarizes the workflow technique and workflow management system. In succession, the framework of the system and the consideration of several problems are analyzed particularly.
