Web Platform Workflow Management System Design And Realization

With the prevalence of Internet/Intranet and fast development of Web, Electronic Business, as the product of Computer Network technology, plays a more and more important role in our daily life. Electronic Business, as the embodiment of basic economic behavior, faces a major challenge: how to utilize modern technology to implement the management of transaction. Focused on this problem, and on the basis of deep research in the principle of transaction, this paper put forwards a solution to this problem: Web-based Workflow technology, hoping to realize efficient and distributed transaction management, and promote the development of Office Automation in corporations and office.This paper is based on a project involved by the author, a Web-based Workflow Management System. Firstly, it explores the architecture of Web-based Workflow Management System, elaborates key technologies involved with this system, such as the design of Workflow Engine, definitions of transaction procedure, defines its major functions and multi-level framework, and supplies a solution to each level. Then, it analyzes the usual implementation for Web-based Workflow Management System. Taking "CRT flow System" as an example, with a reference to the popular .NET and XML technology, this paper dwells on the design and implementation of the key parts within this system, supplies a testing data and analysis on its performance. Finally, it summarizes the problems and corresponding solution with this system.As an application of Web-based Working Flow technology, CRT flow can meet the requirements of commercial Workflow Management System, and has already been put into use, performing quite well.
