The process of developing component-based application software for enterprises is discussed in this thesis. At the beginning, the development of the enterprise information system is introduced, and it is proposed that component technology is the solution to lessen the difficulty in once more software development and improve the system's robustness. After that, the concept of the component and the .NET component applied in this system are introduced, as well as the advantages of .NET component over COM.The process of the component-based software development is discussed in detail based on the dies management information system and quality management information system of a carbody plant in Nanjing. According to the idea of CBSE, the process of system design is divided into three steps: requirements analysis, definition of the system architecture, and provision of the solution to system componentization. Firstly, the both of the systems are divided into three layers: the presentation layer, the business layer and the data layer. The database of the systems is designed according to its design rule. With the help of Use Case chart, Class chart and Sequence chart of the UML, business flow of the system is analyzed, the class of the system and the function of each class are defined, and the user interface of the each module is designed. Finally the process of the system's deployment is researched, and the installation … as well. Some key issues such as the maintenance of system data safety, the system's ability of transplant and expansibility are discussed in this paper.In the conclusion part, the main result of the thesis is summarized and some problems for further research are analyzed.
