With the rapid development and increasing scale of Management Information System(MIS),how to control the cost of time and money efficiently and improve the quality of software becomes more and more important. Management Information System is not applied to singlecomputer or simple Browser/Server application, but gradually developed to the three or multi-tier architecture.Component technology solves the problem that object strictly relies on a certain programming language and it' s reusing is only based on source code level, and the separation between interface and implement makes system maintenance and replantation much easier. By making use of Distributed Component technology, our system could firstly be built on logical distributed areas, secondly it could decrease the dependency among tiers of the applications and the complexity of developing, deployment and maintenance, and finally it could raise the flexibility,security and performance of the applications and be helpful to team developing.In this thesis, based on .NET platform, the coal mine safety management information system of a IT company is taken as an application example, explore the whole process of development at software components in detail. First, introduce the concept of the components and .NET component, point out the advantage of .NET component comparing with COM component. Then introduce all kinds of component and how to be applied. Finally, the introduction of the database design objectives and principles, the selection of DB and the process of database design, related tables are introduced in user-role access control module. In the introduction process, solve the rights management issues in B/S module, it realizes a scheme based on privilege management with high practical value.In the conclusion part, the main result of the thesis is summarized and some problems for further research are analyzed.
