Research On Automatic Testing Technology Of Distributed Application Performances And Develop The Corresponding Tool

In recent years, the scale of software application extends rapidly, the demand of software test continually goes up, and some test methods and techniques come forth, which urge some pertinent testing tools . Software testing gets hold of more share in software Engineering. Along with the rapid development of network technology, the distributed application prevails largely. In this case, the performances of server decides the success mostly, its performances test is one of the most test especially for Web server database server and application server. But this kind of test faces itself particularities and difficulties, such as environmental differences, communicate diversity, unpredict loads, hard to design test scene, differences between testing environment and real environment, varied testing objects, etc.Although there is some performance testing tools, all made in foreign company and with its limitation,such as single testing object,no supporting distributed environment, insufficiency of automation,no expanding interfaces . So research the automatic testing methods for distributed applications and then develop the corresponding Test tools have very important signification. Establishing in the CORBA supporting environment -"OmniORB" and nowadays research results, And baseing on the analysis of OpenSTA,which is an opening sources tool to test Web Server, we design a whole frame of automatic testing tool which is made of capture script,conversion script,edit and compile script, download and executions, collect performances and return, analyse and display results. And also an inserted interface to ingegrate with other performance testing tools.Then use it realize the performances test of Oracle database, which take the following steps:script capture script conversion script edit-, script compile customize testing task download testing task execute test task and collect performance data,and integrate them with Our develop testing tools, which give a sample for developing other performance testing tools .
