| With the rapid development of the telecom industry, the competition between the telecom enterprises is no longer the competition about prices. However, whether the services is good or not has become the key of the development and success of the telecom industry. Besides their service, skill and the quality of software, the quality of the telecom industry lies in the strong support from all kinds of service support systems. Here in this paper the author does research on Alcatel HLR X.25 Forward Server (XFS) , which is an important part of the systems.The current system of XFS processes work forms slowly, which leads to the accumulation of the forms and seriously influences the quality of service. Based on the analysis and research on the system of XFS and combined with the batch function of new version of HLR, the author puts forward a total design solution of the improvement of the XFS and explores the ways of study and the practice of the skills.The advance of XFS aims at building a high-speed and stable channel of data process between BOSS and HLR, resolving the problem of forms overflow and establishing a flat of analyzing the database of subscribers from HLR to enhance the capability of BOSS.Here the upgrade design of XFS is made up of three functions, which include the batch process of work forms, the simulation data process of HLR and the user's analysis of HLR.Firstly, the batch process is the key module in the system. It is based on the former XFS to adapt to the HLR batch process. Mostly, the module gathers and controls the batch commands and then brings the batch files to HLR for batch program.
