Multimedia is intuitionist and has the huge information that makes more and more people like. Therefore, the streaming media will become the future network development. In recent years, with streaming media technology to develop superior, making the technology widely used in video-on-demand, video conferencing, remote education, remote medical treatment and various industries, such as live online system. radio and television industry has been to launch IPTV and telecommunications projects, in the education sector also achieved a long-range multi-media teaching. Networking industry is also active in this direction, such as: video Sina, Sohu television, as well as the rise in recent years, YouKu and Potatoes video, are to varying degrees, to meet people's demand for video services.However, the existing hardware and network bandwidth constraints, video services, there are still many restrictions, Such as: can not satisfy the mass of users and deliver a lower video quality, when the video reached the user's client, a start delay, the phenomenon is not smooth. There is no doubt that for the mass users with video services, high performance server need to support, however, the use of a super-performance server, if the server does not take the design of optimization strategies, streaming media on the Internet development will be hindered. To resolve the issue of this series is the main research content of this article.This paper analyzes the key streaming media technology and research support for massive concurrent users high performance streaming media server optimization strategy. This paper will combine the characteristics of streaming media, in the storage strategy, transmission control strategy, scheduling strategy, the proxy server caching strategies and streaming media server architecture design of these areas, made a number of optimization strategies.In storage, according to the popular program, the proposed tiered storage and video pre-processing done on an in-depth introduction; Transmission control, to introduce several ways to control the sending rate for the mass users, if the sending rate control in an average convection complicated media is a good upgrade, Meanwhile adopts the different transmission speed according to the network condition, has achieved the auto-adapted network transmission; In the scheduling strategy, in the commonly used algorithms based on the study of an improved static partition patch algorithm, unifies the static scheduling algorithm partition's thought and the patch algorithm, effective enhancement patch algorithm performance; In the proxy server cache, This paper presents a new cache strategy,effectively improve the cache hit ratio and space utilization, and introduced a framework for proxy server cluster. Finally, the entire streaming media server architecture, the memory pool and thread pool technology in the streaming media applications in an in-depth analysis, to improve server performance but, at the same time streaming media server cluster to do the deployment of an in-depth analysis. This article in the streaming media server with many aspects of a comprehensive study of performance optimization for high performance, high concurrent streaming media server designed to provide a solid theoretical foundation, has a certain practical value.
