Embedded System Design-Special TA Software Design And Accomplishment

With the development of Computer technology and Communication technology in Information times and the broad application of Internet, it is clear that 3C (Computer, Communication and Consumer Electronics) will converge in the near future which will lead the focus of Computer Industry from the Compute product to Information product. It is the concept of Information Appliance. In the application and development field of Information Appliance, Embedded System will be the most favorite thing in Software Development field. This paper mainly describes an embedded system-the special TA software design and implementation which applies to military field.Firstly, this paper describes the hardware design of TA system and gives its global design module diagram. Secondly, the software design of TA system is introduced, which comprises four parts: "hardware drive module", "system kernel and administration module", "application software module" and "external setting and keeping module", which includes 13 sub-modules. Hardware drive module includes 5 driver sub-modules, among which four modules is the driver's design and development of the microprocessor embedded in PowerPC MPC860T, the other is the driver's design and development of the ISDN drive chip. System kernel module includes 2 sub-modules, one module is the design and development of the embedded microkernel and the other is program design and development of the system and timer administration. Application software module includes 5 sub-modules, among which two modules is the system application implementation of ISDN Q.921 and Q.931 communication protocol, two is the system application implementation of the IP protocol family and the other is the implementation of the application control (Call Control). External setting and keeping module is the interface of user administration and system control. User can get system info or change operating mode of system by inputting instruction. Finally, this paper introduces the special debug technology in emulation environment and gives the debug steps in TA system.
