Study And Implementation Of Network Accounting Based On Radius Protocol

Network management system is the guarantee of the stable running of the network, with the development of the network, the management of it must be reasonable and efficient. Accounting, as one of the top five network management functions, is related with the operating pattern of the ISP. Accounting system not only makes the ISP to gain the repayment, but the lever of price can adjust the usage of the resource.This paper researches on the theory and technique of the network management and accounting system. On this base, we analyses the type of accounting, the price model and some difficulties in the accounting system, deeply researches on some important techniques of accounting and gropes for the architecture of the accounting system. A model is built and a WLan accounting system is implemented on this model. Data producing, gathering, into Database and some other post-handled procedure is described in detail. In this system, accounting server is set up using Radius protocol, Database is built with MySQL, and database access interface is implemented using Hibernate technique. The structure of the system is simple, the precision is exact and the function is abundant. This system is very suitable for the flexibility and variable of the small or middle scale ISP.
