Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of Internet, Small and medium-sized Internet ServiceProviders (ISP) are developing very rapidly. Existing traditional Carrier-grade useraccess management system for those small and medium sized Internet service providersis far too large and the price is too high. A highly efficient user management andnetwork billing system is very profitable and meets the small and medium sized Internetservice providers’ needs. User management and accounting system for local areaEthernet not only needs the accurate, stable, and safety features, and also need toquickly and flexibly to deploy and use. Therefore, the network access for small andmedium operators to design a flexible network authentication and authorization accountbilling system is very necessary.Authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) is the key issue of useraccess management. AAA system realizes the e user’s identification, the use of networkresources and services, records the network resources usage. Radius (RemoteAuthentication Dial In User Service) is a dial-up network user authentication protocolthat enables the user to the access authentication, authorization and accounting. On theRadius protocal research, development and secondary development of great significance, and has great commercial value. This dissertation studies the key technologies of authentication authorizationaccounting system and explores the system architecture. We design and develop anauthentication, authorization and accounting system for small local area network basedour study and analysis. This paper describes the generation of user data, billing datacollection, raw data storage, data storage and backup and disaster recovery and a seriesof process in all parts of the implementation. The accounting server is built based on theRadius protocol model. The accounting database is implemented. The system trialresults show that the system is simple, accurate billing, feature-rich, portable, andsuitable for small and medium-sized Internet Service Providers in a flexible businessactual variability.Massive trial tests indicate that the system stability, scalability and construction costs have advantages and meet the design requirements.
