Research On The Uncooled Infrared Focal Plane Array Thermal Camera System And Controlling Circuit

It had been developed by American about the high-tech product of uncooled focal plane array thermal imaging system since 1990's. Uncooled focal plane array thermal imaging system is used widely in both military field and civilian field for it's many merits, and it is one of the focuses of current development in the field of thermal imaging system.Firstly the developmental history of infrared thermal imaging system is looked back briefly in the paper, and the principle and status of the microbolometer infrared uncooled focal plane array detector and pyroelectric infrared uncooled focal plane array detector and the general trends of uncooled infrared focal plane array derector are discussed. Then in order to keep the microbolometer focal plane array detector to work in the range of the most optimized temperature, the temperature controlling circuit for the uncooled infrared focal plane array detector is developed by a single chip monolithic thermoelectric cooller controller. In order to keep the microbolometer focal plane array detector to work normally, the microbolometer focal plane array driver circuit is developed by a programmable logic device .The advanced manipulation circuit, memory circuit and collection circuit are developed respectively , and these circuits make it possible to implement amplifier, filter and A/D conversion for the analog signal from the microbolometer focal plane array, then memorize and transmit digital image data into a computer .Finally, a summary is given about the controlling circuit system design of the infrared uncooled focal plane array thermal camera system , in addition , the insufficiency is presented , all of these is the base of follow research on this uncooled thermal camera system.
