As industry control fields and applications which are strict in needs of time are developing, real-time database system emerges. Because RTDBS is not a simple combination of traditional database system and real time system, a series of concept, theory, technology, method and mechanism need further study. OPC has the advanced architecture and technology, it can fit varied control systems in different corporation, provide us the normal definition of interfaces to make varied systems communicate with each other and resolve the compatible problem of varied software and hardware. We supply a strong data platform of enterprise's production management by integrating OPC with RTDB.This paper analyses the function and applied environment of RTDB, designs the architecture and applied model of distributed RTDB. We describe the realization of OPC interface. We need to realize the OPC server and OPC client, because we want DRTDBS could not only communicate with locale devices but also service local or remote client. This paper discusses the structure of OPC server, essential function and interfaces needing to realize, provide detail of OPC server's realization and steps of OPC client's realization.In this paper the features of the real-time database are introduced, and the paper also point out that why the conventional database is maladjustment for the data management of the real-time system. Afterwards the paper researches and analyses the features of the real-time database, and expounds the realizing mode of the real-time database kernel roundly: the schedule strategy of the real-time transaction, include priority-based scheduling, the protocol and arithmetic of the concurrency control, the resolving project of the deadlock, the primitive of the real-time scheduling; the model and features of the real-time model; the applications of the data integration; the disposing method of the history data etc. The running of RTDBMS shows that the system performance is feasible.
