The standard IEC61499 is formed with the control technology developed to the stage of digital technique and distributed function. Basic conception and ideas are given by new industry standard IEC61499 about the design modularized, reusable and distributed IPMCS (Industrial Process Measurement and Control Systems). IPMCS based on IEC61499 FB (function block) that is open and distributed possesses much abroad application foreground, and is going to be a leading methodology for the design of the new generation IPMCS.By now, there are still few articles focused on the basic research of IEC61499 FBs. This paper analyzes the IPMCS system architecture based on IEC61499, and especially analyzes function block model in detail. And studied the design method of FB based on the development tools and t application system about FBs.This thesis emphasizes to study system structure given by IEC61499 and the FB development tools, and develop some basic FBs applied to control system using the tools. Using the developed FBs and input and output network link a full industry control system was formed. At the same time, the design method and process of IEC61499 FBs were validated. In addition, the pipeline parallelism was employed for the schedule of IEC61499 FBs. And the advantages in the simple or complex distributed control system were analyzed.At last, this thesis summarizes the advantage and value of IEC61499, and prospects the later work.
