The Application Research Of Object-oriented Database In Telecommunications Management Network

Object-oriented Database is a new field of database in which object-oriented method is combined with traditional relational database. Not only OODB remains the essential part of traditional relational database, but also extends many new functions. So that OODB not only supports traditional application, but also supports a lot of non-traditional application.This paper is based on the development of analyzing and counting system of network warnings and does a good job to investigate OODB technology and its application in TMN (Telecommunications Management Network). We successfully implemented an analyzing and counting system that is checked and approved by some company.In this paper, first we give a simple introduction to OODB and Telecommunications Network Management and the features of object-oriented Database in the field of Telecommunications Network Management. Secondly we explore recent changes of Telecommunications Network Management, and also present the actualities about integrating transmission network management system, then analyze some concrete product of integrating transmission network management system. Thirdly we propose the function and design principle on integrating transmission network management system. Finally, we apply our research conclusions to NEC's project and do a very good job. This paper integrates theory research with practice which make this paper a good conference for somebody who want to do some research in OODB field.
