Embedded computer is widely used in industry control field due to the characteristic of high integration, low consumption and strong ability in real time processing. This paper introduces how to design the control system based on embedded computer for laser marking machine, including sysytem of PC/104 bus and PC/104-plus bus.First of all, the control principle of laer marking system is analysed based on the study on the model of RF-excited CO2, galvanometer and photoelectric encoder in this paper. Not only the scheme and feasibility about the designing control system based on embedded computer, but also the advantage of the system are prensented.Secondly, the paper introduces the PC/104 bus and its interface designing, analyses the circuit designing of the control system of PC/104 bus for laser marking , and presents the VHDL(Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) module of each control segment based on FPGA(Field Progamable Gate Array).Thirdly, the paper describes PC/104-plus bus and its interface designing. And then the PC/104-plus bus control system based on PCI9052 transformed from the PC/104 bus system is designed. At last, that the control system is competent to laser marking system is concluded by analysing the contol signal, expresentation result. The laser marking machine conctrolled by the control system is applied successfully.
