Band the integrations, interactive, communication of multimedia computer system together compose the Networking Multimedia Computer System. For the greatness of multimedia information data, the cooperation work and resource share, introduce the distributing dispose to Networking Multimedia Computer System form the Distributing Multimedia System.HUST Digital Campus main section Query System is the instance system based on the distributing multimedia database. We stored property data and space data, such as the work, graphic, video, in four clients separately. The storage, query and play of multimedia data were implemented on the client;While in the server, four clients were controlled by the server separately that lead to the cooperation of multi-computer and multi-screen linkage. This paper introduced the task's explore background, technology development status in quo and some key technique of distributed multimedia database in the first. Then bring forward the system framework design of digital campus system based on the distributed multimedia database. Further researches on the implement method of multimedia database technology follow on. Introduce the function design of distributed system under C/S pattern and implement the remote data object operation function to database under windows Operation System in the end.
