In this years , embedded technology is applied in mor and more projects . At the side of hardware , embedded system is based on MCU ,EMPU and DSP . The technology of MCU is perfect now and shares the main place in market . DSP is applicable in control of data . With the development of communications technology and information equipment , EMPU is springing up . Now EMPU is first choice in the complex application . At the side of software ,the embedded operation system take the place of traditional soft mode and become the trend of development at future. The embedded system is composed with the chip of S3C44B0X and the embedded OS, uCLinux . The chip of S3C44B0X , which is a kind of current MPU , integrate much periphery function . UCLinux is designed for these chip with no MMU and is often applied in the MPU based on arm core or coldfire core.When the embedded OS , uCLinux , is applied in the project , there will be a lot of questions must be faced . The first question is the environment of development for uCLinux . One choice is to buy the product developed by some company if there is provivded with enough conditions ! The other choice is to found the environment of development based on the source downloaded from network . These paper provide the frodose step for this process . The second question is the repoting because there is no uCLinux based on S3C44B0X in network . The paper also depictate the process for repoting . The third ,when you go along with a complex application , you might be faced with driver and file system for uCLinux . When adding the drvier in uCLinux , you must avoid the conflict with other equipment on the souce of interrupt or other souce . The choice of file system must be according with requirement and condition of application . Last , if the project need to save the data when power is shut down , flash chip or romdisk must be adopted . When flash chip is choosed , JFFS2 will be an appropriate file system.In this paper ,the uCLinux is applied in asynchronism card for LED display . At the base of existing hardware ,which is composed with S3C44B0X and CPLD , the paper provide the scheme of software and some source code . There will deal with the problem of network communication and IPC .
