Along with the development of computer graphics and high-speed network, the advancement of collaborative system based on network technology has become possible. Combine the feature of MCAM modeling process, this thesis proposes a multi-domain isomorphic collaborative design system-MCAM collaborative design system. The modeling design platform of system is MCAM which is developed independently based on ACIS 3D modeling kernel. MCAM gets rid of the restrictions of existing CAD systems and improves the effect of collaborative design system. The communication mechanism, consistency maintenance and concurrency control are implemented. The main contents are listed as following:1) Analyze the multi-domain characteristic of MCAM modeling process, based on this, a multi-domain isomorphic collaborative design system-MCAM collaborative design system is proposed.2) To meet the requirement of large-scale 3D information model collaborative design, the communication mechanism base on "message" is proposed to packet the operation process of 3D information model design, so that the quantities of data being transmitted among network are reduced greatly. Based on above research, technology of 3D information model collaborative edit is realized.3) In order to maintain the consistence of shared design objects, system adopts user roles management, concurrency control and synchronization mechanism.4) Thesis applies template concept to MCAM collaborative system and proposes a collaborative mechanism based on template frame.
