Distributed collaborative design of traditional systems is mainly designed with client-server model that the architecture is a powerful server for the group members with collaboration. Its main function is the sharing of documents and information. However, this architecture is not flexible, in essence, is not scalable, and has the high cost of configuration complexity, higher maintenance costs disadvantage. Secondly, with the increasing of diversification of requirement, the possibility of a single point of the collapse is increasing. P2P model has broken through the limit of the traditional C/S model, making the status of every node equal and role of the server greatly reduced, so that the information and services could move thought entities. Therefore, by introducing P2P technology, the problems of collaborative applications could be solved in general systems, which were often expensive and complex, however, P2P model would make it difficult for customers to overcome. This dissertation proposed a hybrid structure of the collaborative architecture model, which combined the characteristics of P2P model and B/S model. The B/S structure provided designers with the mission to overcome weaknesses of pure P2P own organizations effectively, what's more, using a relatively concentrated and open approach to organization and management users. At the same time, using pure P2P structure was available to achieve the specific development of synergies. With the traditional C/S structure of the collaborative design system, this system was good at scalability, robustness, resource utilization, safety and reliability. In this hybrid structure of the architecture model of collaboration, the task decomposition model was proposed, which was how to put the large task divided into many small tasks, and to ensure co-ordinates development to be conducted. At the same time, this dissertation also put forward the concept of layered information, which was, how to hide the details of information and information layering. Using layered information, amount of data could be reduced between the peer-to-peer nodes with the development of a pure P2P. According to the unique characteristics of the conflict in this system, a collaborative conflict resolution mechanism was proposed, the mechanism of delay and priority could ensure that all those involved in collaborative design of the nodes, such as data consistency. Finally, with a CAD development system, a special case of this hybrid framework for collaborative design system can be realized and effective, which was proved.
