Developing Communication Platform For Agent-based Network Education By Using CORBA And RMI Technology

With more demands and constantly complication of compute, we think that the environment of compute will develop towards the human society in the future.It's a distributed and open environment of compute.Because of the numbers of characteristics of Agent technology, such as autonomy, intelligent, voluntary and so on, it becomes the most potential distributed compute model.Based on the stydies of the pivotal technology of distributed intelligent educational platform based on mobile agents and CORBA, which is a task of national ministry of education, we chiefly study on the question of Agent communication.In order to find a good solution both in theory and practice, the author seriously dives into this question.She researches on the Agent technology, Agetn communication and Agent communication language.She also considers many kinds of architecture models and distributed technologies.After analyzing and comparing lots of information, she brings forward the Agent Communication Protocol (ACP).Further more, she implements the Agent Communication System (ACS), which is based on ACP, adopting CORBA an RMI.In addition to those, there are some method and an example in this article.ACP and ACS are core content in this writing.ACP defines the architecture and rules of communication, and ACS is the implement of ACP.Based on the ACP, ACS concentrates the progress of Agent communication into its inside and supplies a convenient and friendly interface.It simplifies options and reduces burden for the outside application programs.Moreover, the ACS also considers and deals with efficiency.In a word, ACS is a simple and effective means for the question of Agent communication; it provides a nice support of communication for the Agent Educational Platform.
