Research On Data Warehouse Application In Management Of Science And Technology Program

Along with high-speed development of the computer and network technique, more and more data, documents and diagrams produced in technological and daily work are conserved in database. It is helpful to transport and share these data, but the same time, take out the data required quickly is difficult.Data Warehouse is developed to process a great deal of data. It provides better support for decision than traditional database.The management of Science Technology Program is pivotal to the whole Technology work. Vast electronical data about program item are accumulated in recent years. We should make full use of these data.This paper introduces the structure and related technology of data warehouse and data anglicizing, discusses the design and development of data warehouse, and describes the implementation of OLAP and data mining in detail. Based on these, we design the data warehouse for management of Science Technology Program; expatiate on its structure, the collection of data from different source and the implementation of a generic query tool.Last, we summarize several important issue in building the Science Technology data warehouse.
