| Reverse Engineering has been widely used in many fields such as spaceflight, aviation, shipbuilding, automobile and health healing, etc. Especially in stomatology field, adopting CAD/CAM to manufacture the prosthesis, it has gained an advantage over the traditional handcraft in the time and period of diagnosis, the pulchritude, precision and tightness of the prosthesis. For the convenience of dentist to design and manufacture the prosthesis with computer, it is very necessary to do research in applying the reverse engineering to the prosthesis according to the its character, and develop it based on the platform of reverse engineering software. On the base of the reverse engineering and surveying theory, taking the advantage of measurement equipment and Surfacer which is a reverse engineering software, studying on the optics measurement technique of structured light, this paper has put forward the detailed method of three-dimensional measurement on dental cast, obtained its data by experiment and proceeded them.Through the analysis on the function and basic theory of Surfacer, the method, step and technique of the surface rebuilding, have been summarized. By way of the reverse design on the standard tooth with Surfacer, it has realized rebuilding the three-dimensional model for the complicated surface of standard tooth, which is the base of the proceeding CAD design and development. With the development of Surfacer in depth, the whole process of it is obtained, including the application interface based on the Scoll embedded development functions, customized menu and dialog, etc. With the method of software engineering, the master design of fixed prosthesisCAD is brought forward; the fixed prosthesis CAD system is built and developed. This system is especially suitable to dentist and can be used without special knowledge of Surfacer. It can be applied in many types of prosthesis design, which prepares the ground for the prosthesis CAD/CAM based on the reverse engineering. This system includes such features as the simple interface, convenient operation, and friendly man-machine conversation, etc. |
