Study On Three-Dimensional Digital Measurement Technology Based On Reverse Engineering

This article researches on the technology of three-dimensional digital measurement based on the reverse engineering. Detail introduces the composition, principles and measurement procedures of ATOS optical scanning measurement systems which produced by GOM Company of Germany. Pointing out the problems come out during the measurement process. And analyzing the factors which influence the results of measurement.Taking measurement of two workpieces by using ATOS system as an example. One is a sheet metal parts which has simple profile, the other is a part of agricultural machinery with a little complicated profile. Comparing and analyzing the differences between the two workpiece during measurement. Using ATOS v7software to make pre-processing operations of the point cloud data collected by ATOS system, in order to make the data better to be processed.Making uses of the reverse processing module of CATIA software to process the point cloud data, fit the surface and reconstruct the CAD model.
