Research And Applications Of Fractal Theory In Computer Graphics Design

Fractal theory is a science newly developed in the past 20 to 30 years, it can describe roughness and irregular geometric shapes in the nature or in non-linear system. Fractal theory is extensive applied to many fields, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, material science, biology and medicine, geography, earthquake and astronomy, computer science and so on. In consequence, the research on fractal theory has both important theoretical significance and extensive applied value.Referencing the foregoer's research achievements, on the basis of mastering the base knowledge of the fractal theory and space distribution dimension of the fractal geometry, this paper sums up some algorithm about drawing some fractal graphics. It takes advantage of Visual C++6.0 the better user interface and mighty computer programming technology; the paper can realize the software of drawing fractal graphics. In virtue of the knowledge related to fractal theory, it has already been realized on computer to draw some fractal graphics, such as Newton iteration fractal graphics, Koch curve, Mandelbrot set, Julia set, Iterated Function System and so on. Meanwhile, to obtain a better visual effect and simulate actual natural scene, software adopts the real color and color palette to enrich figures. It can realize to modify the parameter of the fractal graphics by using the parameter dialogue box. In order to obtain various fractal graphics, it can modify the color of graphics, the iterated equations and the initialized values. Finally, drawn the beautiful fractal graphics can be saved as bitmap files or HTXT files in the computer.Using the fractal theory to the device of computer graphic, it can not only draw many beautiful fractal graphic but also realize a perfect combination between computer and arts. Meanwhile, it can offer the width space of device graphic for the device of advertisement, the device of the packing pattern, the decoration of house and so on.
