Research And Applications Of Graphics Design Based On Fractal Theory

Fractal theory is a science newly started and developed in the past several ten years, it can describe roughness and irregular geometric shapes in the nature or in non-linear system. Fractal theory is extensive applied to many fields, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, material science, biology and medicine, geography, earthquake and astronomy, computer science and so on. So the research on fractal theory has both theoretical significance and extensive applied value.This thesis mainly studies the applications of fractal theory in the field of the computer technology, especially the problem of computer graphics design. It sums up some fractal algorithm on the basis of mastering the base knowledge of the fractal theory and dimension of the fractal geometry. The paper can realized the software of drawing fractal graphics using VB6.0 language, it has already been realized on computer to draw some fractal graphics, such as Newton iteration fractal graphics, Koch curve, Sierpinski gaskets, Mandelbrot set, fractal trees and so on. It can change the value of fractal graphic's figure, places and color through changing some parameters of the fractal graphics. It realizes the fractal graphics'managing user interface on the basis of above all. The fractal graphics having been synthesized, specially good effect and circumgyrate have more practical applied value. Finally, drawn the beautiful fractal graphics can be saved as Bitmap files or JPEG files in the computer.Using the fractal theory to the device of computer graphic, it can not only create many flowery fractal graphics but also realize a combination between computer and arts, it can offer the width space of device graphic for the fashionable dress, the decoration of house, the device of advertisement and so on.
