At present, in order to expand market, businessmen seek greater packing design. Graphics based on Euclid Geometry is not good enough to packing design. While designing a packing graphics, lifelike 3D graphics can make a full performance of conceive which designer want to represent. Packing designer can apply the fractal theory to design fractal graphics. It has high practicability and art value in the packing design. Therefore, the research of graphics based on Fractal Geometry has special significance in the development of packing design.So, Parametric design for complex fractal graphics designed under VC++ platform in this paper. With OpenGL and law vector, this system can protract 2D and 3D graphics. To realize the 3D fractal, the quaternion is applied as the iteration variable to create the 4D Julia set and Mandelbrot set. After introducing how to implement the 3D visualization and the choice of the iteration method, the paper demonstrates in detail the concrete process of the generation of the quaternion fractal, and shows the graphic examples. Because the judgment criterion on the escape time algorithm is improved, the object set is the boundary set. the system provides vast graphic operations in addition.
