Networked manufacturing is an efficient pattern which fully utilizes advantages of global manufacturing resources by network technologies, to respond to individualistic market requirements flexibly and rapidly, and to provide qualified services, aiming at promote competition abilities of enterprises. Its basic attributes include security, digitization, flexibility, agility with the expression of quick reconstruction in configuration, quick feedback in performance, parallel in process, cooperation in work as well as integration among application systems of enterprises. However, it is very difficult for manufacturing enterprises, especially middle-small size enterprises, to implement networked manufacturing independently due to limit of resources. In such circumstance, networked manufacturing based on ASP mode has become a new choice for manufacturing enterprises, especially middle-small size enterprises, to carry out networked manufacturing, which helps enterprises to implement networked manufacturing conveniently, rapidly, efficiently by outside technology power. During the process of implementing networked manufacturing, efficient technology and mechanism are required to share and integrate the distributed business services, resources, information of enterprises. Workflow is one of its basic supporting technologies. The information security is the important composing part of the researches of workflow technology, but the existing researches on it are few. Therefore, researches on security architecture framework of workflow platform in opened circumstance, which play important roles in the researches of networked manufacturing, are main research components of basic techniques implementing networked manufacturing.Firstly, a kind of secure framework model able to be adapted to workflow platform in opened circumstances is put forward in the paper on the basis of understanding the existing researches of information security technologies for networked manufacturing and workflow platform. The model is composed of the improved sub-model integrating on-line authenticating identify model based on Kerberos in opened circumstance, the access control authorizing sub-model based on task-role, and the secure audit sub-model adapting to opened circumstances, which provides a basis realizing the integration of business processes safely among enterprises in networked manufacturing. Requirements analysis, goals identification, and advanced solution, which are three importantcomponents of the secure framework model, have been studied deeply.Secondly, several important service components in the whole framework are studied and designed in detail from function description, work theory of components, important data structure, information exchange protocol , and system operation according to design principle-from the above to the below- on the basis of above researches, combined with theories on software engineering and practical tools (UML).Finally, combined with national 863 project-"development and application of ASP platform facing center cities"(project code: 2003AA414024), the rationalities and accessibilities of its implementation technology as well as security architecture framework model of workflow platform put forward in the paper are proved through the application case of logistic management of architecture & metal industry.
